A thoughtful approach to teaching art

Skills give ideas
room to take shape.

Camilla brings a graphic design background and a carefully developed visual arts curriculum to the studio. Lessons connect observation, art fundamentals, artist study and material exploration.

Projects offer a clear learning focus and room for individual decisions. A student might choose a subject, test a material, change a composition or revisit a mark after looking more closely.

Across the three programs, that balance shifts with age: playful exploration for younger artists, intentional skill building for developing artists and greater independence for teens.

What we value

Curiosity. Practice.
Persistence. Ownership.

We value the question before the answer, the experiment before the finished work, and the decision an artist can explain. Students practice noticing, solving visual problems and reflecting on what they have learned.

Artmaking can be exciting, challenging and occasionally messy. Short demonstrations, useful reference tools, visible choices and a familiar class rhythm help students find a next step.
